Had an urology appointment in preparation for a vasectomy. During the exam he asks what I do for a living, I said I work for a software company. He asked “what kind of software?”
So I proceeded to explain what a hypervisor does while he squeezed my testicles.

University of California, San Francisco, did a study gathering health records from 87 health care centers across the country. It found that people taking antidepressants were up to 28% less likely to die from COVID-19.
In other news my anxiety has dropped up to 28%.
Everyone in our immediate family is vaccinated. Everyone we associate with is vaccinated. We wear masks everywhere, aside from when we’re outside. We don’t eat inside restaurants as a family. There have been no sleep-overs or unrestricted play dates.

Everyone else in the house is doing fine, including our 3 month old. We have all tested negative, multiple times, since Thursday. We’re hopeful it stays that way.
The only things our kids have done since last March is school, where they are masked at all times, and play soccer.
On Thursday my oldest came home from school with symptoms of COVID-19. We took him directly to urgent care to get a test, which came back positive.
He’s been in our basement bedroom in total isolation. His fever lifted today, and only remaining symptom is difficulty speaking.
I just want to sleep until next week.

Booster Day + 1: Sore arm, otherwise normal. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad that none of these have done anything to me as far as noticeable side effects, but I’ll take it.
I do some of my best work at the last minute.
I love being able to hit one button in the Home app and updating all my HomePods at once. I only wish the Apple TV was in there as an option too.
