See you tomorrow #VMworld3Word
Avis just sent me an e-Toll bill that makes it look like I went galavanting across Manhattan on a recent work trip. RFK Bridge, GW Bridge, Holland Tunnel, Battery Tunnel, New Jersey Turnpike.
Problem is, I’ve never been to New York. 🤔
Oh hey, my Raspberry Pi 4 finally shipped.
Well, it’s certainly been an interesting morning…

The accumulation of wisdom isn’t always directly proportional to age: Mr. Hambleton is “a very young 89,” his wife said, and when they built the house, “he was only 82,” so the property’s upkeep “didn’t seem like that major a thing.”
I might be over coffee.
I’ve temporarily switched to Twitterrific as my “primary” client because of strange scrolling issues in the official app on iOS 13 beta. It’s reminded me how much I miss third-party Twitter clients being almost first class citizens.

Between AT&T’s Call Protect app, and the iOS 13 beta “Silence Unknown Callers” feature, my phone hardly rings anymore. It’s glorious.

OneDrive updated it’s menu bar icon to be even more blah. I wish I had the ability to hide it completely. At least it’s not as nasty as what Dropbox is up to these days.
I got stung by a bee/wasp tonight, on the side of my neck, while trying to take pictures of my kids at the park.
Honestly the first time I can ever remember this happening. Thankfully, I don’t appear to be allergic, just feels like I’m stabbed in the neck repeatedly.
😩🖕🐝
DM me if you’re interested in a latest generation Kindle Paperwhite (ad free) for a good price.
Odd feeling to find out the first person you were ever friends with has died. I hadn’t seen him since high school, but at 4 he was the one who showed me how to play Super Mario Brothers, and we fed each others Ghostbusters obsessions. (He was Ray, I was Egon) #RIP Kenny.
It seems Amazon Prime Day is basically the same things you normally by from Amazon, except with an Echo Dot included.
Vitamins? + Echo Dot. Toaster? + Echo Dot. Echo Dot? + Echo Dot.
Mandatory corporate training program is mandatory.
Why do children (or adults for that matter) lie about trivial things that can be easily verified?
Did you brush your teeth? Yes. Why is the toothbrush dry? Magic.
Fun to get hit by brutal winds, on trash day. Neighborhood is covered in everyone else’s stuff.
This is the same behavior you get when launching Zoom from a link on iOS, a prompt to start the app. I’ve never considered this to be disruptive, I actually prefer it. It seems like Zoom could fix this by registering a URI handler in Firefox, and call it a day.
We are now a two HomePod home.
🇺🇸 ⚽️ 🏆 🙌
I just bought another HomePod 💸
I’ve been using an iPhone XS Max for the last month. Tonight I picked up an iPhone SE. I used to think that was the perfect phone size, but I could never go back. #BiggerIsBetter
I picked a heck of a day to stop drinking coffee.

What happens on iOS 13 when two iPhone users who’ve never spoken with each other before call each other with the block unknown caller feature enabled?
An endless loop of voicemail? Or does it acknowledge someone you tried to reach is returning your call?
Why do my children refuse to understand that I don’t want their feet on me? 😫
Order two egg rolls from local take-out 🥡 get a dozen egg rolls instead. 🤷♂️
