Seeing the iPad doesn’t make me very excited for the 4G/4.0 iPhone hardware and software. Thinking it’ll be more of the same.

Very disappointed in iPad. It doesn’t solve suffering in Haiti, help pass health reform, or even look all that attractive.
I find it amusing that Eric Clapton is in an ad selling Android phones, but on his site the they point you to iTunes for his music.

This week Microsoft patched a big problem in IE6. Wait, actually, my bad, they’ve done that already. It’s called IE7 and IE8.

The number of businesses still using Internet Explorer 6 is painful to see. Coupled with the fact that all of them are on Windows XP or Windows 2000, it turns from pain into terror, especially when it comes to security. For a lot of system administrators, the reasons to stay outweigh the reasons to upgrade. Websites that break, plugins that won’t load, old software that isn’t updated anymore. Trust me, I’ve been there.
Work got more stressful this week, faculty started filtering in and students return this weekend. No time for tweet/blog-ing. :(

Trying to play the open beta of STO is brutally painful. The closed beta was way less buggy. Not a good sign for the final product.
Tried playing the open beta of Star Trek Online, but failed. After having to recreate my char from closed beta, server just kept booting me.
Off to lunch with Dell reps, going to try and sell me some fancy storage systems I’m sure. Little do they know, I have no money to spend ;)
How is it that T-Mobile is getting exclusive deals on all the phones I’d be interested in as iPhone replacements? Nexus One and HTC HD2.
