It would seem I’ve sufficiently loaded up Google Chrome with extensions now. Yet unlike Firefox, it’s not sluggish as a result.

Just enabled the end user recovery feature on Microsoft DPM, thinking of all the ways it’s going to make users happy.
It seems like every task I’m running, on multiple servers, is taking 10x longer then normal.

A recent email discussion over a education security listserv got me thinking about the topic of giving users administrator rights to their local machines. This is a common discussion that comes up about once every month or so, when ever someone new joins the group. The discussion usually starts by asking for methods of removing administrator access in environments where rights have already been given, and then nosedives into a long discussion about the ethical and practical reasoning behind it.
Neowin went down over 4 hours ago for a “30 minute” downtime, and is still offline. Did someone forget to plug the server back in?
Removing McAfee EPO from it’s server. Oh happy day, to be rid of this horrible software and it’s creators.

I’ve been having a lot of issues with my iPhone recently. Slugging, locking up, data dropping, etc. Going to wipe and not restore from bkup.
Good thing I spawned new/more virtual machines on my VDI deployment last week. Record numbers of users online today. No big issues so far.
It is freaking cold in my office. Should have brought gloves to work.
